Extend C Drive Partition
I have an Inspiron 1564 running Windows 7 Home Premium. The hard drive came with two user partitions, a C partitions of around 60GB and a D partition of around 230GB.
The C partition is now nearly full and the D partition is essentially empty. I am trying to re-allocation storage. Using Window’s Disk Management tool, I have reduced the D partition and moved the empty 180GB directly to the right of the C partition.
However, when I right-click the C partition, the Extend… option is greyed out.
Is there some trick to making Disk Management allow Extend…?
Or
Does Dell have their own tool to manage partitions?
Or
Is there a recommended third-party solution?

Hi MikeSi,
Welcome to the Dell community.
I would like to inform you that you might not be able to extend C partition using windows utility. We do not provide any tool to manage partitions as we don't support multiple partitions.
However, there are many third party softwares available like Easeus Partition Master, Partition Magic and many more available for the same.
Please note we don’t support or recommend these softwares and are not tested on our system. You can find the list of the various softwares at below link:
