External Hard Drive 2.0

Hello people,

I own a dimension 4700 and I bought an iomega ext hard drive to free up some space.My problem lies in the usb 2.0 required for it to operate.I have checked my device manager when I got the message this device can perform faster if you connect it to a 2.0 port click here for a list of available ports.

According to my device manager there are 2.0 root hub and a pci 2.0 usb.Properties inform me it is working properly Ive tried all my ports with the same results even using a web cam to test it I get the same result.

My new hard drive is slow too slow for transferring is there someone who can help.Not in warranty anymore and Im not a huge technical brain just interested in getting it to work.

I would appreciate any advise or help people.
