EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE
I use a Dimension 2400 my "C" drive is only 1GB and is full I have and external 500 can I transfer most of the programs to the external Har Drive to clear my "C" Drive and how I can do it ?

I can assure you, your internal hard drive is quite a bit larger than 1 GB. So the question becomes, How big is it and how is it divided up. Please use disk management (click here for instructions) to see what size drive you have and how much space is allocated to each partition.
To answer your question, yes, you can move files and programs, but we need to see how things are set up currently in order to make helpful recommendations.

If you right click your C: drive in My Computer and select Properties, you'll see how much free space you have. Perhaps your free space is getting low.
