Files saved as read-only when transfer from C to E drive

 Hello to all,

I have 5100 Dimension computer. When I saved all files from "C" drive onto "E" drive (DVD-RW), all files on "E" drive became read-only. I tried to remove read-only from all files, but it was unsuccessfully. How can I save files onto CD without getting any "read-only", or how can I remove them?

 Thanks to all.

Hi Blueroselvr,

All files saved to this media will be read-only, nature of the beast. Once you have the files back on the hard drive, right click the file, select Properties, under Attributes un-check the Read-Only box.

Best Regards!

God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
difference.

Don't have to do that with XP.

Files copied to the HD automatically revert to their previous state!
