Firmware confusion
Earlier today, I checked Drivers and Downloads. After plugging my service tag #, I was told I needed the Firmware for Samsung F3 250/500/750/1TB SATA2 HDD, but my hard drive is 1.5 TB.
Is there firmware that I need? Is there something that I can change to make sure the driver updates page reads the correct hard drive for my system in the future?
Thanks!

Mo576,
Send me your service tag number in a private message so I can replicate the issue and then send it up the line.

The drivers and downloads, when accessed by the service tag number is supposed to list applicable hardware configuration as it was shipped. Obviously, with a 1.5TB hard drive that is not the case for you. We are not Dell employees on here, just users helping users so we can't do anything. I'll refer this to a Dell forum moderator and maybe they can get it straightened out.
However, as it is, consider the old adadge with driver/firmware updates "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I've sent a PM to a Dell moderator. However, since it's the weekend, nothing may happen until Monday.
