floppy disk controller reported an error

Question

I cannot get my A drive to work.  The error message that keeps coming up says:    'The floppy disk controller reported an error that is not recognized by the floppy disk driver.'    I have a Sony digital camera and use floppy disks to view my pics...and I've checked inside the tower and everything seems plugged in where it belongs.  My computer acknowledges that I have an A and when I have the drive tested it says it's ok.  I have also tried disks without pics and the message is the same.    Anyone smart enough to tell a mediocre computer user how to fix it?  In advance, thanks so much :)

AngelLdy01.   In the Device Manager, remove the Floppy Disk Drive and Floppy Drive Controller. Reboot and let Windows re-install. Failing this then you probably need a new floppy disk drive.   Bev.
