Getting annoyed with cd rom driver issues!!
Right ,need some help here people
Got a Inspiron 580 running 7 (64) with an Optiarc DVD+-RW AD-7230S ATA Device
Same old story of losing my cd rom drive, due,i think, to trying to install Magic iso which i have now uninstalled..Reinstalled dvd drivers ok but still got the yellow triangle on device manager.uninstalled whole dvd unit booted up etc etc no joy.
Went to msconfig/diagnostic start up and surprise surprise its got 4 removable drives sitting there which are invisible in normal or selective start up.So i presume somehow that thes are hogging the driverto my drive.
I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET RID OF THEM!!!
Short of repair disc(will that work)? or a reinstall:-( what can i do
Thanks :-)

Hi Roopuk,
Those removable drives are probably your flash card readers. In order to fix the "yellow triangle", try the CD/DVD fix link below.
Once that is done, you can use disk management to manually reassign the drive letters of your memory card readers to avoid further conflicts.

Wow Osprey what a quick response thx soooo much. Now just to be surebefore i go further can you just look at a screen shot of those drives and confirm that they are what you thought ie flash card readers
