GX 280 External USB Storage...
We've got multiple GX280s (numbering in the 100s) that display the same behavior:
When a USB storage device is connected (either USB HD or flash drive) one of 2 things will happen - 1) BSOD almost immediately or 2) able to write to the drive (inconsistently) BUT if the drive is removed and reattached, no write changes are persistant. Example: connect drive, copy files, disconnect drive, reconnect drive, (files show up) delete or add new files, disconnect drive, second set of files are not there!
We've tried using the drives via the front and rear USB ports, same behavior always persists. Drives vary from 256MB jump drives to 80+GB hard drives. Several of the USB drives will work via the usb cable alone, but some require additonal power over a second connecting cable (also USB).
All machines are identical, running XP Pro SP2.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!!!
