Hard Drive capacity
Hej,
I have Dell Dimesion 8250 , 2,4 gHz, with hard drive capacity 120 GB.
File system is NTFS. In "My computer" -properties it is shown 119,9 GB in the left
and 111 GB in the right column. What does it mean ? When I make defragmentation,
I have message that only 111 GB in total of hard disk is available. Please advise where the rest 9 GB of my hard disk could be hidden. I have no limits for quota in my hard drive.

Your hard drive has a capacity of 120,000,000,000 bytes. Hard drive manufacturers use the decimal system and translate this to 120 Gb. Windows uses the binary system - 1 kb =1024 bytes, 1 Mb = 1024 Kb, and 1 Gb = 1024 Mb. If you do the math you will see that this works out to about 111 Gb. You still have 120,000,000,000 bytes on your drive no matter how you look at it, so there are no missing bytes.
