Hard Drive Dimension 4600

I got the blue screen of death and followed instructions.  Computer will not boot and returns a hard drive error.
 
When I run diagnostic from f12 it lists my hard drive; Fail, Error Code 7.
 
If the drive is crashed can I recover info by installing a second drive or using other software?

Yes, the hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced.  If the failed hard drive still spins, after you have installed the new drive, windows and it's running to your satisfaction, then you could try connecting it as the slave and transfer only the data you require, all the applications must be reinstall.
