Hard Drive Partitions
I am upgrading to an 80GB hard drive. My question is, if I partition it into two partitions, can I access each with a different drive letter? In other words, the primary partition would be C:\ and the secondary partition D:\? The reason I want to do this is my old drive (40GB) will now be used for backing up my main drive. Since I can only back up 40 gigs, I will keep my apps and data on one partition (so i can back it up) and keep games and mp3s which dont have to be backed up on the other partition. Not sure if there is a simpler solution or not. Thanks for your input. Jason

You can assign, and reassign, the letters as you see fit except that the initial boot drive will be C and cannot be changed unless you reformat.
