Hard Drive wont boot
I had to replace the hard drive due to massive virus infection. I purchased a Western Digital sata drive unit. The computer sees it in set up, but not in bios. I can't boot it to format it. Anyone have a clue to what I'm talking about?

Could you please post your Dell PC Model so we can help you?
In the meantime, is your system capable of using SATA? If so, did you enable the SATA port that you installed the drive on?
Just an FYI... there is a little jumper block on your drive. When it's on, your drive operates at 150 GB/s (SATA I). When it's removed, it operates at 300 GB/s (SATA II).

I have a Dimension 4700. I removed a Samsung sata drive unit model # HD080HJ. I was told I had enabled it. The jumper block is in default setting. Thanks
