my hard drive is toast and this is the second time, what are my troubleshooting options? any ideas?

Hi,
Model and series of computer
Make and model of hard disk
Any idea of casing, temperatures, cleaned out the dust bunnies yet.
Take anti static precautions whilst working inside the computer casing.
With a bit more information you may get an answer
