Having problems with Sonic DigitalMedia v7 burning software

Does anybody else with a Dimension 9100 using Sonic Digital Media v7 for their burning software have any problems with the program? Sometimes it will work, other times when I put a RW disk in the drive that only has a few files on it and I want to add more, things don't go as planned. I'll get a message to put a blank disk in the drive, that the disk I have in the drive now is full, when I know it isn't. Other times I'll get a message saying that the disk is corrupted. I have combo drives. The top is a Philips DVD rom drive and the bottom one is a Sony DVD RW drive. This is getting aggravating.
