Help sought: Roxio, 8080N CDRW driver problem
Hello all. I have a Dell Latitude C400 laptop. In an effort to clear space, I foolishlly deleted Roxio CD Creator. Immediately, my CDRW stopped working, and the device manager now lists a problem with the device driver for my CDRW (HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8080N). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the hardware, but the Wizard continually fails to find the appropriate driver. I have, of course, all of the factory CDs, so I thought that reinstalling Roxio from the CD would fix the problem. BUT, since my CDRW does not work now, I am unable to use the factory CDs to fix my issue. Presumably, I could not even use the Dell CD to reset my system back to factory condition... I have also visited the Roxio and Dell Download sites, but have not found any downloads that fix this... All of the Roxio updates fail upon install, indicating that I do not have any version of Roxio on my machine... Please help.
