You could reinstall windows, or use Symantec's Partition Magic or Acronis Disk Director, that will allow you to partition the hard drive without having to reinstall XP.
The downside of repartitioning the hard drive, is that it will disable the Dell PC Restore by Symantec utility,
once u doo a xp repair or anthing the Ctrl F11 funtion goes bye bye. .. id recomend to backup the fat partition which should be the image of original release. then if u dont liek whats happened u can hope to restore pc back (www.goodells.net/dellrestore/fixes.htm). to first day.
2nd option is to do a xp fresh install.. but make sure u got the dell cd.. if u use an older cd it might not see drive and need the F6 nvidia 430 Sata chipset driver (u dont have a floppy drive for F6 method use >). or a newer xp sp2 ver c disk (del oem)
so, with reinstall again windows xp i can do a partition?i have try Symantec's partition Magic but there was an error massage.so, what i should make is reinstall again xp
