How to make a DATA CD
I have microsoft streets on my computer, but have lost the cd and now have a new computer.
How can I burn a cd with this info, so I can put it on my new computer ?????????
Is there a special type cd to do this with or what. can I use the typical Sony CD that I burn
music with ??? I have the Roxey Easy CD Creator 5 that I use for burning.
Just not sure how to do this !!!

Ok - I have read all the above and somewhat understand.
I have tried what all of you have said & nothing works, So I believe that maybe as one of you have said it cant be done.. one thing is the data info is more than my CD will take. as im using Sony 700mg cd's.
I have tried to format also and that doesnt work either.. Every time I try something stops the burning and says it cant continue.
So -- any other ideas ????????????????

Once the data is on the hard drive, it cannot be handled as a single
entity, thus, the original disk is required. I agree with Osprey when
he stated it could not be done. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Shop the internet; you will probably find it for $30 or so and maybe with
a rebate.

Microsoft street & trips. Its a 946MB file or so it says.
& since I only have 700mb sony cd's, guess thats a problem
for sure, I will have to see if I can get a larger cd that
will except that much, if them make them,, as you can see
im a novice at all this. Might be easier to go out and buy
a new one for $40. But I thank everyone for there help.
Another thing, maybe it makes no diff, but im on a Demision
4100 now with windows ME and the new puter is a Dell 510
that has XP,,,,,, if that would make a diff. ???
