ide drive

I opened my new 9150 to put my old drive(win 98se) in to offload my old info and realized that the pc only has sata ports. We removed the dvd drive and installed the old drive there but can't access it. Bios sees that it's there but it doesn't show up in windows. Help?

Did you set the hard drive's jumpers to cable select?

If it was partitioned using a utility like EZBIOS, Data Lifeguard, Maxblast, Disc Manager, etc., it won't show up because the overlay hasn't loaded. You will need to return the drive to the original system, boot it and back up the data elsewhere.

1> The drive only has options for master, slave and single. 2> Reinstalling the drive in the old machine is not an option.
