Infinite restart
I volunteer at my childs school and one of the lab machines is giving us trouble. The machine is a new Dimension 3000, and after Ghosting an image from an identical Dimension 3000 system, the machine will not boot into the Ghosted C: partition. Instead, the machine restarts again and again and again. We have Ghosted the same image onto other identical lab machines without any problems.
I have tried booting into the Diagnostic partition but can't. The partition can be seen by the Dell Restore CD but it is apparently corrupted. I have booted into the Restore partition and finished a complete restore but the problem remains.
My thought is Symantec Ghost corrupted the partiton table, and I am wondering what I can do to repair or replace the table to make the system bootable again from the C: drive.
I don't care about losing any of the data on the system since it was brand new anyway.

pop in the windows xp installation disc...... eventually before it installs, you should get to a screen and in the center it should say partition. delete it then it will reformat the drive and reinstall windows xp.... afterwards reinstall the drivers.... if you need step by step just let me know. I might have a slow response because i am in high school and i get a lot of homework. But i will try!
