installed new HD and its coming up in drive E
hi everyone i work with optiplexes here at work .Im working in a optiplex 150 and we bought these new hardrives for when the old ones die out .I had no issues intalling it it works fine but comes up in my computer as drive e not drive c. What could be the cause ? its a samsung hd and its the only hd installed . Any help would be appreciated .Thank you

Also, does the system have multiple partitions on the drive? This could cause drive letters to bump up when installing the OS.

I have the exact same GX-150 replacing hard drive (different ones) and with XP Pro always get E: as the hard drive letter, which I happily live with.
My job is tech support at a graduate school.
