Installing Norton Ghost 10.0

This is very very basic but my skills are limited and I can't figure this out.
When I get a prompt to install Norton Ghost 10.0 and I follow the instructions, I get a message that file is not found and I need to identify an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package. Clicking on "my computer" and trying things there doesn't work.

The weird thing is that if I am connected to the internet, I get the prompts from Norton that claim that my system is running but my icons on the bottom right of my screen show that Norton Ghost is not enabled.

I've got a Dell XPS 400 With Media Center Edition 2005.

Ghost came installed on XPS 400 but if its asking you to install it again just pop in the CD that came with your system. Then click install. First time I used it, it asked me to register. Thats not your case though.

Thanks! I actually called Dell, paid for an "incident" package and wound up talking to a great hardware tech in India, no doubt, who took over my computer and determined that the problem was a network problem, that Ghost was in fact working. He suggested I copy all my files to CD, delete Ghost and then reinstall it. As it happens, I think we'll just keep things as they are because I know Ghost is working, despite the messages I get.
I may change my mind in the future but right now, I think I'll leave well enough alone.

Many thanks for responding to my query.

My XPS 400 w/ 2 X 160 GB came w/ Ghost 10.0 pre-installed.  When I first ran Ghost, it seemed to properly create a full system back-up to the "D" partition of my C drive.  While trying to correct another problem, I stupidly uninstalled Ghost.  I have now re-installed Ghost via Norton disk media included w/ my PC.  However, when I now try to create a Ghost back-up I am told that "D" drive is unavailable and also that it is not formatted.  This seems to be confirmed in that D properties show zero drive space used and zero available.  I even explored re-formatting D, but that is not allowed.  I assume that I still have protection from my mirror drive, however I don't understand why Ghost won't now recognize the D partition and allow me to create an initial restore point.  Any suggestions?
