Matshita cdrw/dvd ujd9740 doesn't play dvd-r or dvd+r
I have an inspiron 4150. It plays commercial dvd's but will not play movies burnt on a dvd-r or dvd+r. These discs can be played on dvd player, playstation2 and desktop computer. Any ideas?
It is a Matshita cdrw/dvd ujd9740. I've tried powerdvd, media player, divx. Help.

media. While it is true that all DVD media is not equal, the fact that it reads
commercial DVDs indicates that is should read at least some burnt DVD media. Perhaps
is may be a brand compatibility issue?
