My new m.2 isnt working

I bought a new crucial 1tb m.2 ssd, and when i put it in and turned on my pc it didnt show up. I check disk management and it wasnt there. I took it out and put it in again and it still didnt show up. I tried to use bios but i didnt see anything that could help. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem? Im not sure if this helps but i have a Dell Inspiron 5680 Motherboard
