NEC 3500
Long story short,
Just installed the NEC 3500 because it is supposed to support just about all DVD formats. Software is ULead. I copied a non-encrupted DVD to DVD-R and after finializing the disc it plays on Dell Media experience and Windows Video. However, it does not play on my home entertainment system Sony DVD player which is supposed to support all types DVD formats as well.
The DVD disc is from Phillips. I found a place online that outlines the DVD makers that are most compatible with the 3500...Mostly Verbatum. Is the disc the problem or what?
Thanks in Advance

and see if that works. Use only a small quantity until you
know for sure.
You can verify your player capabilities for compatible playback
of media here .............

Sound like you making "copies" of store bought movies.... via D.V.D. Shrink or 321 Studios X-Copy..??
If so, here is a list of home DVD players that worked for me:
APEX 1130W (WAL-MART)
APEX 1145 (WAL-MART)
Cyber Home 320 (TARGET)
All under $40
Predator

Neax,
Member 4Preditor stated they were not encrypted DVD`s and the software he was using is ULead, not the ones you mentioned.
Also friend to friend, the latter two softwares cannot be discussed in Dell`s forum, will get you a warning from Dell for the first offense.
Best Regards
God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
difference.
