Optiplex GX110 with external USB CD Writer - Problem
I have a Optiplex GX110 (small) and a external Plextor CD-Writer. I have worked with this a few weeks. Today i connect the CD Writer to the USB Port and the PC freeze. I can only power off. I have tried a few times but i wouldn't run.

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum (DCF).
Do other USB devices work on all of the 110 USB ports?

System:
Optiplex GX110
Service Tag: LVEWF
Windows XP with all Updates (except SP2) and newest drivers (Chipset, Video, Audio, NIC...)
CD Writer: PLEXTOR PlexWriter PX-S2410TU, USB 2.0
Wenn i plug the Writer to the USB Port, the PC freeze. The only thing i can do is unplug the Power Cable. No Error Message, no Warnings.
This CD Writer functioned on the PC a few Weeks, but not anymore. I think i make a new XP Installation on this PC if no one has a good tip.
Regards Simon

Nor have you said what kind of USB drive this is.
Nor have you defined "doesnt work" or given any error messages or any other information.

Try Adding a USB 1.1 Hub with Power supply.
