Philips DVD/RW Not Working
I have a Dimension XPS Gen-4 with a PHILIPS DVD8634 +/-RW. Every so often the drive is not recognized during startup. Now it's not reading DVD's. I was successful in reading the disk on another computer using an HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4242N. So I know the disk is good.
I ran; "AutoPlay Repair Wizzard & Tweak IT".....from the Predator's website with no success. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hi KTWO,
Are you sure this is not the Philips 8631 drive, I cannot find a reference to 8634.
Lets run a couple of the standard trouble shooting steps for detections issues and such.
Same CD/RW link, Section 15, article 1; Section 20, article 3; Section 11, article 2; Section 12, article 10 (ignore the refernce to Roxio)
