problem with mcafee

i think i got a bad email or something.  I have the mcafee thing that came with this notebook.  I must have downloaded something wrong but i keep getting its annoying pop up every three seconds saying that something called 'services.exe' is requesting internet access.  It just won't stop bothering me.  I don't know what the program is i am very confused.   is anyone familiar with what i am dealing with? does anyone know if i should ask a different forum? what is your sign?

services.exe is part of the Windows list of running programs. You should allow it Internet access but not server rights.

the problem is that even when i grant access it still keeps popping up.  the file is C:\WINDOWS\ConnectionStatus\services.exe and the time listed on the program corresponds to win I opened this one email the other day.  I don't know why it keeps wanting access to the internet.  please help.
