RAID-1
my RAID1 80GB 2 disk array is used 100% by one partition. Can I use a tool like PartitionMagic in this scenario? I assume that the raid magic is one level below such a tool and thus transparent?
What is the difference between resetting disks to non-raid and deleting a raid volume, both options are offered in the Intel Utility (CTRL-I). Can I use one of these otpions to get two 80GB disks without having to reinstall the os?
Hardware: Dimension 8400, S-ATA Raid by Intel, 2 Maxtor disks
Thanks
Eckard

I think the difference between breaking the array and removing the volume is that the latter will lose all your data. Seems to me that you should be able to break the array into two plain ol' drives, do what you need to on the first drive with the partitioning program of your choice, and then migrate back to RAID1.
I've never deal with RAID1 myself, but I understand that RAID1 gives you a little more freedom to do this sort of thing.
