I have a Dimension 3000.. ( HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8483B [CD-ROM drive]
HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8163B [CD-ROM drive]
) Im getting an error in realplayer when I try to burn a CD that it doesnt recognize any burner on my system.. (never had a problem berore) This is the message I get (CdrMmc32.dll not found) PDBurn_NTiServiceSubThread:RealPlayer    .. I think it may be a realplayer problem , a file missing?  my CD-RW  and CD ROM drives are listed as working fine in device manager..anyone come across this before?

Hi Cuddles,

Searching that file tends to give the impression you are on the right track, related to Real Player. Any recent updates to the program, have you tried uninstall/reinstalling it (Real Player)?
We can cover a driver issue real quick, click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 15, article 1; Section 20, article 3.
Windows will reinstall the proper drivers again once you restart your system.

Best Regards!

Thanks I checked everything out in device manager and everything is in working order.. no yellow or red alerts.. this is exactly what it says (the error)

"This application has failed to start because CdrMmc32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this."     above the blue box with the red X it says:  " PDBurn_NtiServiceSubThread:realplay.exe  unable to locate component"

You wouldn't happent to know where I can download that application at..lol would you? I typed in that exact "CdrMmc32.dll" and you dont get much.. :smileysad:  Thanks in advance..

Hi Cuddles,

Sorry for not getting back to you, been hitt`n & miss`n in here lately.

Here is the link for Real Player, try reinstalling it:
http://www.real.com/

If that does not help, then consider clearing the filters, ignore the reference to Roxio. Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 100, article 31 for Microsoft`s article.

Best Regards!
