Removable Hard Drive

Question

I am with a U.S. Navy project. We have procured over 7000 Dell GX-1's. Some of our sites have a requirement for a removable hard drive due to security reasons. Can you recommend a brand/model of removable hard drive that will fit your machine?

Take a look at the products offered by CRU-Dataport ( www.cru-dataport.com). Storcase ( www.storcase.com) has some good products too but they tend to have a shorter product life (discontinued faster) and also a bit too expensive. We're looking to order some of the CRU-Dataport products but unfortunately, Dell changes their case style so often, three weeks of work just got blown-up and now we're back to square one, developing a new solution for yet another case design. I think this person probably hardly uses the GX1 anymore by now (original post was from 2000 and computers usually are replaced after 3-4 years of usage.
