Sonic MyDVD
I just got a Philipps DVD recorder... installed, supposedly working fine. I have Sonic MyDVD installed (4.0) version... made a DVD... won't record... give this error
stream requsted does not exist DVDErr, -19803
I tried the Sonic basic version 5.3 that came with the DVD recorder... that doesn't support slideshows (which is the entirity of my DVD) and wants $55 to upgrade...
HELP... is this a freak error? What does it mean? I reinstalled Sonic, restarted, checked that the DVD recorder is working... UGH

hi,
Need some more information on the issue:
1. Which model of the philips ( you can locate it in device manager, click the "+" sign next to DVD/CD to fetch the information
2. Type of file being used, can you try with a data file like a word document,
3. Type of media, DVD+RW or a DVD -RW dics?
The sonic basic version does not support slide shows, which needs to be purchased.

Hi Joe,
You may find Ron B`s FAQ on DVD burning very helpful down the road. If you are interested, click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 8-100.
Best Regards
God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
difference.
