SSD
I just bought a Dell Dimension T3610 workstation. And I want to put three SSD drives in it and the SSD drives are 2 1/2 inches. What do I need to install these and where can I get the rails?

Hi Dairygoat,
I assume you have a Precision T3610. I recommend that you refer to the manual here:
ftp://ftp.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_dell_precision_workstation/precision-t3610-workstation_Owner's%20Manual_en-us.pdf
There are two brackets that can accommodate either 2.5" or 3.5" drives, so you don't need anything else. Your third drive can probably fit in an optical drive bay with a 2.5"-to-3.5" adapter.
Good luck with the new system!

Thanks Osprey for your help. My new Precision T3610 should be here in the morning so I will read the manual.
(optical drive bay with a 2.5"-to-3.5" adapter) Where can I get these adapters?

Google shopping results for 2.5" to 3.5" adapter
Maybe one of those places?

The manual has a lot of good information but not what I need. A Dell tech agent said I needed these parts: Part Number R9PXE and Part Number T3F4V. These are to go in the CD ROM and then I can put two 2.5 drives in it. When I got the parts there was no intreections with it at all.
I have been on the phone for 4 hours now and has been trying to find out how these parts are to be installed.
Does any body else know?

Hi Dairygoat,
If the adapter fits in the 3.5" optical drive bay, then you will need the same screws as any optical drive. I believe they are M3x0.25" (easy to find anywhere or order online). Mount the HDD in the adapter, then use the screws to mount the adapter in the bay.

This is what the bay looks like but does the end with the fan face to the front of the computer? Or do the blue drive caddies?
Here are the cables. How do they hook up to the drives and the mother board?

I also just a T7600 and I tried to find the manual for it at the same address by changing the address to: ftp://ftp.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_dell_precision_workstation/precision-t7600-workstation_Owner's%20Manual_en-us.pdf but it could not find it.
Do you know where I can find the manual for my T7600?
B.T.W.
Did you see the images of the 2.5 caddy and the cables?

Click Support above and select the model to find the manuals for any Dell system.
I do not see your images.

At the top of the page to the right of the Dell logo are three words, shop, support and community.
