Trouble watching a DVD

How do I use the cineplayer I got with my computer about 3 years ago to play a dvd I have? Isn't that what the Dell Cineplayer is supposed to do?

Hi, garblund:

Your system should be set to automatically start Cineplayer when you insert a DVD. It may be that this feature is not set properly. Please see this article. Vista: How To Set the AutoPlay Options

If that does not help, please post back and let me know a little more about your problem.

OK, I got the DVD player to work, but now I was wondering if there's a way of using Cineplayer to play ripped DVDs.

Garblund:

What do you mean by ripped DVDs? If you are trying to play movies that have been ripped to your hard drive, there should be an option in Cineplayer to play from a different drive location other than the optical drive. I'm not all that familiar with your program so you'll need to look around to find it.

If you are talking about something else, let me know and I'll try to help.
