Trying quick format, rec'd "invalid drive specification"

I was trying to do the quick format for my harddrive.  I restarted with the cdenab.exe floppy and tried to enter the command "format c: /q" and I received the error message "invalid drive specification".  I tried all combinations with spaces and cannot figure out what I'm typing in wrong.  Please Help!

Please post your system model and OS. If you are using Windows XP, you should format using the Windows disc.
