Will Not Burn on CD-R
I am absolutely stumped. Just recently my computer has refused to write CDs in both Nero and I-tunes, with one brand/type in particular. In Nero, it asks to use a CD-R/W after inserting a CD-R and in I-tunes it asks to install a blank CD then does nothing when I do. The CDs it does not like are TDK CD-R. It will write on LOGIK CD-RW as well as DVDs. I have used the TDK CDs about 25 times with no problems until now. All the settings look correct and I have changed nothing.
I have since gone to Dell support and installed the latest firmware, and purchased new CDs, both R and RW. I still can only burn CD-RW and DVD-RW, but no CD-R. The comp is relatively new and the CD burner has only seen about 15 uses.

Hi Petrophile,
This issue may be related to filters and/or the drivers. Lets try a few standard steps:
Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 100, article 31 (ignore any reference to Roxio); Section 15, article 1; Section 20, article 3.
