Windows won't start
Just received a replacement XPS600 (the first one, which I am sending back, had two problems: the error messaje Run DLLEntry, which I recently fixed thanks to this board, and inconsistent Windows startup).
WELL, this second XPS600 had the same two problems! Like I said, the error message I was able to fix. The second worrying problem is: When I first turn on the computer I see the Dell Logo and then all I get is a dark-blue screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left corner of the screen. And Windows does not start. It takes one or two additional reboots to get to the Windows screen and then the computer works fine. Have you had a similar problem? I wanted to get some feedback before I embark in my two-hour chat with tech support people who could not figure out the DLLEntry error fix. Any suggestions?
I may end up sending this one back again, since I have only had it for two days!!

I had a similar problem upon arrival of my XPS 600 in December - - it seems to surround the front USB jacks... When I have an ipod or a gamepad controller plugged in the front USBs, I can't reboot. I get the same screen with a blinking cursor...
I've read the boards and have tried all sorts of fixes... I went into the bios and disabled the boot option from a USB - - but no luck... Until a fix comes along, I've just been sire to unplug my USB devices prior to attempting a re-boot.
Good luck fixing your issue - - try unplugging all items from the front USBs and/or disabling the 'boot from USB' option in the bios.

The sad part is, I had such a good experience with my old Dimension that now I am planning to order a Dimension 9510 with dual-core processor.
Any experience out there with the 9510? Any feedback will be appreciated.

I got mine last week and I am already sending it back. It does not start (boot up). I get to the BIOS loading screen and it freezes. I spent almost an hour on the phone with support to no avail.

Yes, I meant 9150... You are having the same problem I had with TWO XPS600s!
Is it true that Dell expects you to pay for the S+H of a DEFECTIVE computer you are returning? I really thought it was a joke.
So what I am going to buy then...?
