working for all DVDs

Hi,

 MY DVD player works fine for some DVDs but not for ALL. THis is not a region specific issue as all the DVDs I try to play are from USA.

Its either doesn't read saying "bad" DVD or it runs making with a lot of disturbance - the picture stops, again moves, and then repeats...and in the background you can hear the sound in the DVD player as if its really having some problem in running it.

 

DO i need to clean my drive?? Does anyone know how to do it?

 

What can be other reason for this?

 

Unfortunately my Dell h/w warranty program has just expired.....
