support assist 3.14.2 hangs in start. Running on Windows 11 23H2
When I start the support assistant to check and install updates and it hangs at the start and does not go further.
I have uninstalled, downloaded latest version (which I already had) and installed that and got the same problem.
I tried contacting Dell support but got a dead end as my laptop is not in warranty any more.
Anyone any ideas I can try?

Never mind. I found a later version(4.0.2.59780) that works fine.

@dsbarros The link can be found in a post right under this one in this community...it is titled "SupportAssist 4.0.6 available". Just open that thread and a link is there with instructions for installing.

@cammac468a9e11c tried that. But it download the same preinstaller file. I had supportassist 4 installed. Then deleted it. Now the newer install files only gives me the 3.14 version.
Quite frustrating. There must be sth on the registry that dell added impeding ppl of getting the newer versions of SA.

@MajorThorburn Do you use Notepad++ on your system? SupportAssist v4 is known to delete the session file (in case you leave the optimization schedule enabled by default).
