supportassist wont install
I had a problem with support assist not running so uninstalled it, downloaded the latest version (according to the installer its 4.3.0.52594) and am trying to install it but it does nothing other than showing the initials screen and then exits. on another run its stays with the initial screen and does not do anything else. left running for over 15 minutes.
No event logs. sfc scan showed nothing. system restarted. same problem. system boot diagnostics all good.
This system in no longer under full support but I am expecting the software to be supported. Am I being stupid?

Newer versions of Support Assist don't always work on older hardware -- what model system do you have?

@ejn63 It is an Alienware m18 R1 supplied to me by Dell UK about 5 months ago as replacement for a failed unit.

@MajorThorburn Can you please share the download link for your suggested version?
