LUN Queue Length for AIX
I am hoping someone can guide me here since I do not know AIX
I have a couple of large metas presented to an AIX Server.
1 meta is 10 - 8 gig TDEVs
and the other meta is 30 - 32 gig TDEVs
The default LUN queue is 16
How do I determine if that number should be adjusted or what it should
be?
Is there any rule of thumb?
I appreciate any help on this
Chris

I did a search on the forums sometime ago...
I should have did a new search before posting..
Still, is there any documentation that explains how
this works or how to determine what the right number might be.
Thanks
Chris

you might find something in the "Host connectivity guide for AIX". I remember i opened a ticket with support about this and was told not to mess with these parameters on hosts connected to Symmetrix array, leave them at AIX defaults.
