I am not finding a way to get the engine ID using our tools. I'll submit a feature request on it.
I was able to get the engineID using wireshark. If you perform an SNMPV3 test and filter by SNMP then the messages from the CMC should contain the engineID(msgAuthoritativeEngineID).

Hi Daniel,
I did create a snmp user and setup the SNMPv3 and I need to send the trap messages to a 3rd party server. The 3rd party server is expecting an engineID from the CMC - as the CMC is sending the trap messages.
Thank you

Hello
We do not have a field for SNMPV3 that is called engineID, that I'm aware of. We do have a configurable userID for SNMPV3 on our iDRACs and CMCs that support SNMPV3. I think that is the option you are looking for, you can find information about configuring the SNMPV3 user ID in the CMC CLI guide on the VRTX support page.

I found that this has already been submitted and is scheduled to be added in the future. I don't have any ETA on when this will happen, it could be several months.
