iDRAC SNMP hrSystemDate support
Hi,
I'm monitoring lots of iDRAC9 cards (version 4.10.10.10), using SNMP.
Unfortunately, hrSystemDate (OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.2.0) is not available.
We can't then know / monitor whether or not cards are properly time-synchronized, which is really helpful for log handling etc...
Dell support / dev team, could you then add this very basic OID (seen almost everywhere else) into iDRAC cards please ?
Thank you very much !

Hello,
Some of the OpenManage devs post here from time to time, so they may see your message. That having been said, I can submit this as feedback to a colleague. I can't make any promises about implementation, but I'm happy to help get this idea heard.

In the docs there is systemPowerUpTime / 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.5.2.5 (This attribute defines the power-up time of the system in seconds )
# snmpwalk -c public -v 2c idrac-esx-node-XX .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.5.2.5
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10892.5.2.5.0 = INTEGER: 2539773
if i reset the idrac it starts from the beginning ...
#snmpwalk -c public -v 2c idrac-esx-node-XX .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.5.2.5
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.674.10892.5.2.5.0 = INTEGER: 624

Joerg

Thank you for your proposal @Origin3k.
Unfortunately what you indicate is the system uptime.
What I look for is the system date/time, so that it can be compared with a reference date/time, to check whether or not iDRAC cards are properly time-synchronized (so that we are then sure logs are properly timestamped etc...).
