OMSA only storage command available
Hi there,
first off, I'm new in this topic. I haven't found anything online with this problem.
We have an Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS (Bionic Beaver) Server with srvadmin in Version 8.4.0 installed.
It's installed via the http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/ubuntu repo.
My problem now it that only the storage command is available to omreport and omconfig:
root@[HOSTNAME REDACTED]:~# omreport -?
omreport Reports component properties.
The available command(s) are:
Command Description
storage Display storage component properties.
Usage: omreport [name=value...] ... [option...] Anyone has an idea why this could be and how I can fix it? I allready tried reinstalling it (apt-get autoremove srvadmin-all; apt-get install srvadmin-all)

@DELL-Stefan R
It's a PowerEdge R310. Is there a way to make it work?

Hi Atlas780,
could you please share the server model you are using?
As Ubuntu is supported only on yx4x and yx5x Dell EMC PowerEdge servers (like R640 or R6515).
Please refer to the Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS for Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers Release Notes.
It is not supported on older systems.
Best regards,
Stefan

Atlas780,
It isn't a supported option for the R310. As you can see here, the supported servers for Ubuntu start at the 12th generation servers, for 18.04 it is 14th generation. That doesn't mean it definitely won't work, but we don't support it and don't provide drivers for it.
Hope this helps.
