Problem with the UPS management software: cannot start agent
I am not sure this is the best forum for my problem, if you have another suggestion, please do so.
We recently purchased two tower UPS 500W both powering two Dell Precision Workstations (a T5400 running Windows 7 64-bits and a T3500 running Vista 64-bits). I installed the Dell UPS Management Software on both systems and they were both working fine at the beginnging (about 12 days ago).
I was running a check this morning when I realized that none of the two agents were actually running: the icon for the agent was green, but the agent was stopped on both machines. After right clicking on the agent icon and then forcing the agent to start, a red cross appeared on them and I have not been able to start them since. Looking at the event log in the management software, it appears that the last time the agent started was 5 days ago and there has been no update ever since.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Reboot the computer and if that doesn’t work uninstall the software and reinstall. You can download the software from the following link:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh&ServiceTag=&SystemID=PWE_T710&os=WNET&osl=en&catid=&impid=
Software ISO image - under System Firmware > Dell-CD ISO Image.

Rebooting worked for one machine, but not the other one. I will try reinstalling the software as you suggest.
Thank you.
