scadplugin for iDRAC smart card authentication
I am running a PowerEdge R830 equipped with iDRAC 8, running the latest firmware (v2.75.75.75).
I have configured the iDRAC for local user smart card authentication from the server's GUI.
However, when I try to connect from the client workstation I run into two problems. The first is it is
only compatible with IE (who still uses IE?). The second problem is when I try to access it
using IE, it tries to download and install the scadplugin (https://idrac-XXXXXXX/software/scadplugin.cab).
I give approval to install the plugin, but it does not install because it is looking for
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable. That version of Visual C++ is no longer available or supported
by Microsoft. Why is this Dell plugin looking for a 15 year old software library? Even if I could find a
copy of Visual C++ 2005 redistributable, installing an unsupported piece of software will introduce vulnerabilities
into the system.
Does anyone know how to get the scadplugin to work with later versions of Visual C++?

Hello,
I've been doing some looking and it looks like this may be something that just needs to get escalated. Would it be possible for you to send me a direct message with your server's service tag? Being able to show that the issue affects a real person can help drive getting something addressed. I haven't configured an iDRAC to use that form of authentication before, sorry I can't give you a more immediate fix.
Let me know if you have additional questions.

This has been submitted to engineering. I can't promise if or when the fix will be published. That part is out of my hands, unfortunately. There's no workaround or temporary fix that I know of, so I could only suggest keeping an eye on iDRAC firmware releases.

This implies the visitor removes from the host:
As much memory as it was pronounced with
Each VM is additionally a VirtualBox executable, so you have to include its memory.
It's consistently conceivable that the VirtualBox manual is a few forms behind, and that the most recent memory enhancements method are not reported.
Furthermore, VirtualBox might be enhancing memory use by not distributing the whole characterized VM memory.
Assigning memory as required is an enhancement that can spare a ton on physical memory, however memory-escalated measures in the VM might be eased back somewhere around the successive need by VirtualBox to demand more host memory.
