Dell Steak 7 Tablet

Anyone else having as many issues as I have?

I have returned it twice and now on my 3rd one.  There is no battery to pull to reset it which is a DESIGN FLAW.

The first tablet froze on me after week 2 and would not unlock at all.  Previously it had locked up but when I plugged in the USB connection I was able to work it out, but one day we were out and it froze and for 8 hours would not unlock.

We also had powerup issues.

So a week ago I turned it in and got a new one.  Everything was working great till today and I went to Photo Gallery and got a error message.  I tapped "Force Close" and it got me out of there, but I could no longer use Photo Gallery.

Thinking it was the app, I went to download a new app and I got the same error message and this time I was unable to shut down the Tablet.

 

I am hoping #3 is going to be better.  Anyone else having as many issues?

Mine is working great.  The reset button is in a small hole next to the SD card slot.  No need for a battery pull, so no design flaw there.

Interesting that Dell customer service couldnt tell me that nor could anyone at T-Mobile centers

 

Does it factory reset or just reboot everything

The power off button is listed on page 9 of the manual, it's called a Force-power-off button

 

 

It just does a "reboot".  I assume it's there if  the thing were to completely freeze up.  I did it just now, and all it did was basically restart as if you had completely turned it off (holding power button down).  All apps, settings, etc still there.

My 1st Streak 7, had the famous android.acore process crash.

I tried the official power button/volume button reset inthe manual online. DID NOT WORK

 

Tried the reset pin hole reset with Tmobile support on the phone, DID NOT work

 

Spent better part of 3 days triing to get past the force close on quit pop ups to get to the Privacy screen to try resetting there, DID NOT WORK

 

Got Tmobile to replace the unit, so on 2nd Streak 7 unit, in less than a month.
