Dell Streak Screen not working properly :(

I have a dell streak 5 tablet phone. The problem with the screen is that most of the times only half of the screen is responsive. Any kind of touch response on the other half is totaly unresponsive. Thanks to this stupidity, i aint able 2 pick up calls.

Any solution to this problem.

I read the other posts regarding the problem of static electricity. I dont think that is the problem here as the phone is most of the times on the table.
