Dell Streak Sync Issues - post-upgrade

Last night I upgraded my Streak to android 2.2 and installed the nero powered Dell Mobile Suite onto my laptop. However, when I plug my phone in it does not appear in the suite and I can't sync it.

It worked fine as 1.6 and still charges and appears as usb SD drive but no joy with trying to sync it. My main use for a smartphone/tablet was the ability to have my calender on the move, now that I can't sync it that functionality seems to have vanished.
