Dell Venue Pro Needs

I had to wait forever to get this thing (since I was one of the first to order on day one and then was called a liar by your customer support in India, but that is another story). And now it can't run for 5 minutes on Wifi and the Camera is a disaster.

TELL US WHAT IS GOING ON. I was convinced by your customer service that and update would fix these issues, but the time to return this thing has come and gone and no one is telling us anything. Do we need to seek legal action or are you going to fix these defective items that you are knowingly still shipping?

P.S. You can throw in the fact that you advertised these units as having 512mg of RAM, but after a device info app showed that you only supplied the units with 256mg, you pulled the RAM specs off your website. Instead of hiding like a bunch of cowardly crooks, why don't you publicly address these issues? This has got to be one of the shadiest launches I have ever seen.

I agree. Dell needs to issue an update. @DellCares has posted on twitter recently that the memory issues and "other issues" (presumably the wifi/freezing problem) will be addressed in the future with a software update. However, a few more details including a timeframe would be nice, although anyone with a Venue Pro knows that timeframes from Dell mean virtually nothing.

To add to your list of complaints, don't forget that everyone who ordered a DVP in the first couple weeks that got delayed was promised delivery by Christmas, free upgrade to overnight shipping, and a free bluetooth headset. It sounded like most did arrive before Christmas (mine came on 12/24), but the free overnight shipping was a complete lie. Mine still had the 2-day that I ordered (and it took 4 days thanks to fedex delays) and other people had said that there's was actually downgraded to ground shipping. And the jury's still out on whether anyone will ever get the bluetooth headset- my guess would be no.

I am still waiting on my refund for the DVP. Their CSR staff says it takes 7-10 days, but quite a bit of time has passed.  :emotion-40:
