Wow, I want it ! But still nothing for my DVP  It depends on the locations? (Slovakia)

When is Windows Phone Update 7.8 coming to the Dell Venue Pro on T-mobile USA.?

Just got Windows 7.8 upgrade on my Dell Venue Pro. It is an unlocked phone working with T-Mobile in the United States. Very happy. Plugged in the USB to the computer and Zune automatically detected the upgrade.

Still I haven't received update on my DVP..Is there any additional things to follow for the same? Location Ahmedabad INDIA.

Sir, I have read that windows have launched 7.8 update for existing window 7 cell phones. I am currently using Dell venue pro and it is tango updated that is 7.10. I want to know that will my phone be updated to window 7.8 version or not, and if not why ?

Use the "Force Update" method with PC Zune software. It will work. I went through three updates on the DVP to get to the final 7.8 but it got there. The final Rev, is "7.10.8858.136". Same Windows Phone version as my White Lumia 900. You just have to keep at it. But it will work. I assure you. And oh yeah, I'm on an unlocked DVP bought direct from Dell. If you like Windows Phone and you can afford it, get a Lumia 920. I picked up a Yellow 920 the day they were released and Windows Phone 8 is awesome. Really, really good.

For those not getting this to work, here is what worked for me with my DVP(unlocked)

after failing with the above instructions numerous times.

1. Completely disconnect the phone from the computer and close the Zune software.

2. Reconnect the phone to the computer and relaunch Zune.

3. Go to phone/settings/update and let it tell you no update available.

4. Then DO NOT click the "OK" button. Instead, click one of the links under "update" in the side nav.

5. Then click "update" again and immediately remove the network cable.

6. Please enable DVP's Wifi all the time (i.e. during update & searching for update)

Yes Duke there is an udate for dell venue pro. The update will put your phone to 7.8 version but not to 8. We are searching for the 8 cabs files but they are not yet released.

my dell venue pro is lock with passcode and disabled. how to flash the mobile or any tool to remove the passcode..
